/Health and Fitness News Articles/ - Cortland, NY, July 16, 2008, Maureen White, Physical Education Teacher for the Cortland Enlarged City School District, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of education.

Ms. White has more than 22 years of professional experience in education and 18 years of teaching experience with the Cortland Enlarged City School District. She is considered to be an expert in physical education. Her daily responsibilities include teaching spatial awareness, training kindergarten through sixth grade students, demonstrating teamwork and encouraging health, wellness and good nutritional habits.

In addition to teaching, Ms. White coaches seventh grade girls' field hockey and volleyball. She is also a co-chairwoman and the director of the walk and run for the Kim Leonard Mother's Day Program. She recently coordinated the St. Mary's School 80th Anniversary run and walk. She attributes her success to her love for children, her hard work and the continued support of her friends and family.

Ms. White received her Master's Degree in Physical Education from SUNY Cortland in 1990. She is a member of the American Alliance for Health, the National Association for Sport & Physical Education and the Rotary Club. Ms. White was honored with the 2007 Teacher of The Year Award.
